America is beautiful to so many people because of its wealth. Americans feel the need to make more and more money. Once they make 100grand a year, they want to make 200grand a year. It's an endless pursuit for money. A non-stop effort to be the richest. No matter how much money you make, you see someone else with more money.. which in a way makes you feel poor. Do I feel poor inside? not even a little. Do a lot of Americans make money their main interest? Yes! I hope that answers your question. If you are asking if Americans feel helpless inside, I'd have to say no. You would have to ask every American if they felt helpless. That's more of a personal issue.

Depending on the type of person that we are and what we have to offer. I for one think I am no better then the person standing at the corner asking for change. I would help them as much as they would help any other person if they were on the other end. Those people who decide not to help are homless and poor inside, they do not want to share and make the world a better place.

when it is all said and done we are all very poor when we can't help out the homeless because we think if we ignore it it will go away. I think each and every one of us should have to spend a night out in the cold and feel what it is like to be ignored and possibly spit on or told to get a job. How would we feel?

I don't think we're all homeless and poor inside.

You can be a rich man and be homeless and poor on the inside.
You can be a poor man and not-homeless and rich on the inside.

You have a point there. Have you seen "True Hollywood Story" in which people when people the lottery, then lose it all? That's because they were as poor within as they had been in the wallet. I've got a sister making a lot. She's always keeping up with the Joneses. Although I'm making a $6.50/hour, I am happier than she because I've got self-worth. Her self-worth depends on having the latest designer this and that. I feel that she's got the friends she's got because they're "VIP's" .IF they didn't have what they've got, she wouldn't be with them. My sister is narcissistic. She doesn't value people. I,however, feel that the friendship is genuine on her friends' side.

We create our own realities. Although to some extent i would agree that we are all in the same boat in a sense. All just here to get by.

No...most are, but some are not. If you have God in your life, truly have him in your life, you feel more fulfilled, better, that dark-empty space in you disappears somewhat...

Kabbalah has helped me find this out.
