I think its Nash again, i mean wow, for a player who's been playing really well, on the next season you cant help but to expect that his numbers might go down but with Nash, THE EXACT OPPOSITE THING IS HAPPENING, his numbers are STILL INCREASING after 2 yrs of being MVP.not the kind of play you'll expect, right?but anyways, its all good for him.

and also, i think Dirk will be a close Candidate too for this year's MVP award.

Tough question to answer this year. My three candidates that it would probably come down to is Dirk Nowitzki, Steve Nash, or Kobe Bryant. Here's my analysis:

Kobe Bryant: Kobe has really changed his game and sacrificed his scoring this year. He's really become a great team player and has been getting his entire team involved. And he knows when it's time to start scoring. By sacrificing his scoring, his teammates have improved and are a much better team than last year's version. However, they haven't been playing well as of lately and injuries has been effecting the team. I would give it to Kobe, but their record isn't that great.

Steve Nash: Steve has always been a great team player and the reason why the Suns have been doing so well the past few seasons. But listening to nba analysts, they've noticed that the Suns haven't been playing well against the elite teams of the West including the Jazz, Mavericks, Lakers, Spurs, etc. These are the teams they'll need to face in the playoffs, and the only reason why they're doing well is because they have been winning over the easy teams.

Mavericks: Dirk is playing great this season and the main reason why the Mavericks are probably the best team. He's scoring as usual but is now becoming a great playmaker getting more assists and improved his rebounding.

In the end I'll take Dirk, the Mavericks are arguably the best team in the nba. And Dirk's the reason why.

If the season ends now, i think it will be Steve Nash. Although Dirk and Kobe have chances.. Steve I think will garner the votes because of his ability to contribute through assists when/when not scoring 20+ points. second is Kobe , third is Nowitzki.. The only thing that would matter in stopping him from being MVP is that he was MVP for the past 2 years and I think the voters would prefer to have a new MVP .. example is Micheal Jordan not having voted MVP for straight 3 yrs....

I think he definitely has a chance. Him, Kobe, and Dirk all have a good chance, but Nash may lose votes because some feel he doesn't deserve to be in the same list as 3-peat MVP's, and Kobe(sadly) is still hated by ignorant, biased losers. Therefore, I think Dirk will win it, as long as the Mavs keep the best record in the league.
