Death to me is a just a new beggining., yes..
For in every end, there is a new beggining., my daughter's classmate lost his father in a fiery manner, burning while saving his family of 5 in a fire last October 2006.
A couple of years back, they lost their paternal grandparents also in a fire that gutted their store and house.
Only two years ago, their uncle's own store was also damaged by fire that burned down a row of stores just two blocks away from our own house.
There is a superstitious, no a religious rite of breaking a black rosary and putting it inside the coffin, this is commonly practiced here in the Philippines.

Yes I can relate to that I had a male friend who died suddenly than 1 week later his wife was found dead. Than I had another male friend 3 weeks later found dead on his apartment stairs. And the weird thing about it is they all were from Michigan and lived around each other.I live in Canada. They all new each other and all three of the deaths could have been avoided. Wishing you sympathy over the loss of your loved ones.

Very odd to have someone label their own beliefs as "superstition." I suppose I do have some beliefs that others would call superstition, but how would I know? Is belief in a soul, and the persistence of that soul beyond death of the body, a superstition? Is it "superstition" that my friend in St. Louis, who never met My Steve and has only seen a very fuzzy photo, could nonetheless tell me things about Steve that could only have come from him? He died on December 16, 2005, and all she knows of him should be what she learned through me, but she knows more. Why? Superstition?

The ability of the mind to formulate theories is boundless. That's why there are conspiracy theories and superstitions. much of it is paranoia, only a handful is real. you have to research extensively about death in three's to give your superstition some credibility. As for me, I shut out superstition.

they were just old, nothing happens in threes anymore than any other number, ravens supposedly predict deaths by comming and sitting on the roof of someone who is going to die soon, and yes that happened to a friend of mine, but she had suffered from lung cancer for quite some time too.

I'm not really superstitious about Death, but I do have a sign hanging outside my van that reads "Dear Death, if this van's rockin', don't come knockin'!"
Wouldn't want Death to walk in on something embarrassing...
