they dont do anything. All they do is get in the way. Think about this: A real supercharger often takes up like 13 hp off the crank. Thats like 8,000 watts of energy. have fun finding a fan thats going to be running equivilent to 8,000 watts of blower. its like hooking up a PC fan to your car and thinking its going to make it faster. they often slow the car down because its just more restriction in the intake.

if youre broke, dont mod your car. it will never be fast without huge investments. Save your cash, and while it may suck for now, it will be 100x better when you actually get a car thats worthwhile to mod, instead of just sinking money into your cavalier with no real gains (im just being honest, without thousands of dollars, you wont gain more than about 20 hp MAX on that engine).

That particular type of "electric supercharger" does nothing useful. To prove this I acquired one a few years ago, and while it is better than the stock air intake box, it had no noticable gains over a simple Cold Air Intake. However, REAL Electric superchargers DO exist, but they are Very very expensive. Thomas Knight Industries makes electronically powered roots and snail style superchargers, but they cost thousands of dollars.

its not worth the $19.95 its only a heater blower motor in a case that looks like half a turbo. if u would like to see how well it will work run a hose from ur a/c vent to ur intake and turn the a/c on high.

The things marketed by savvy Ebay entrepreneurs as electric tubochargers are almost always actually in-line marine bilge pumps. Total scam.

Why does everyone with a queervalier wanna hook it up? Buy a good import and then dump your hard earned cash into it. Dont waste your time on that car, its not gonna last you long when your beating the hell out of it. If you wanna good base car to start with try the 99-00 civic si the new si or an RSX type-S.
