According to wikipedia: "United States federal law (and many state laws) protect the harvest, possession and consumption (but not cultivation) of peyote as part of "bonafide religious ceremonies" (the federal regulation is 42 USC §1996a, "Traditional Indian religious use of the peyote sacrament," exempting only Native American use, while most state laws exempt any general "bonafide religious activity"
So assuming i want to do a "bonafide religious activity", where can i buy peyote legally.

but if you are dead set to fry yer brain, consult indian tribal groups that practice the use of this stuff. However if you aren't a registered tribal member they'll probably ask you to leave.

Ok Screwbag really I think you need to do research and quit being a jack nut for one it doesn't kill your brain cells hell cannabis (or however it is spelled) don't either alcohol does, there are serious drugs out there that do that crap but Peyote does not sorry to burst your bubble but get your head out of your *** it is used for RELIGIONS PURPOSES ONLY! Thus this asker was asking if it was legal to get it and yes it is I just asked my friend is who is a shaman and she told me that it is I know someone who gets it for free and she is half Choctaw and creek and she told me it is used for religions purposes and another thing do the research sorry but idiots really get me going but Hun yes you can get it legally here in the US but you must use it for religious purposes only hope that helps and if you find somewhere to get it let me know! I think they should make medical marijuana legal in all states and countries for people who need it I have smoked it and I have depression and it mellowed me out I have bipolar and it helped to keep my cool from sacking my friend upside the head so ya it helps it don't hurt you just makes you hungry that is like totally it if you don't like what I say then oh well ain't gonna hurt my feelings none!

to answer your question, no you cant at least not in the US. peyote is from the "buttons" on cacti found in southern US and some other countries. peyote is on the level of acid as far as mind alteration goes. but if ya find some hit me up haa

Peyote is an illegal drug. You can not purchase it legally any where. Those Native Americans who do use it for religious purposes gather it in the desert (which is part of the ceremony itself).
Besides dude, peyote will make you puke your guts out. Sicker that you have EVER been. You will be throwing up stuff you swallowed in 3rd grade.......then you will see *hit. ..........Go drink an 8 oz glass of Jagemeister and you will get the same effect
