Let people vote how they wish. If offering them a choice produces a split vote, then so be it. It's healthy to have your views represented.
The Republicans are unlikely to stray from the standard Corn Flakes or nothing package for fear of innovation or anything new.

Hillary and Obama won't split the vote in the general election. They may battle it out for the Democratic Party nomination, but they'll have to run against John Edwards, Joe Biden, Bill Richardson, Dennis Kusinch, and others. Whoever wins will have a united party behind them. I disagree with your perception that middle America is not ready or mature enough to accept a female or a person of color as president. This country is ready to accept any person who is qualified to deal with the many issues we have to solve. While I have some reservations about Hillary's ability to unite the country, I feel as though Obama would be someone who will become president, if not in 2008, perhaps in 2012. His only draw back is a lack of experience, but then again Bush had no foreign policy experience at all, nor did Bill Clinton, Gerald Ford, or Ronald Reagan. My vote will be cast for the most competent candidate regardless of sex or color.

No. My guess is a Hillary - Obama, or a Hillary-Edwards ticket would make it to the top ...unless they self destruct on the road to the White House. As of today, it seems like middle America is ready for anyone but Bush. If this sentiment does not loss steam by 2008, then the Republican nominee would have to be very very creative to overcome this voters malaise.

There is no such thing as a good Democrat. Does not make any difference what color they are and if they are male or female, there is none worth voting for. Sane is the key word here, so that leaves out all democrats.

Well.. democrats might win this one. Although they may not be ready for a female, a white female democrat will beat a black male republican any day, b/c even the republicans will vote for Hillary.
It's stupid, but most likely.

It doesn't matter who gets in, WAKE UP!!! They are being led by the corporate elite, behind the scenes. Go to Google video & watch Illuminati 2, Check out Aaron Russo, Watch Prison Planet, Watch the Truth about 9/11, but make sure you watch "Freedom to Facism" by Alex Jones. It is free on Google video. Check out RON PAUL, on Google, and You Tube. He needs to be a candidate, as he is for the people, not for the government. Hillary was bought & paid for already. Obama isn't a good choice either. This is just to get you thinking, Then go to http://www.jmccsci.com, use your real player, James McCanney discusses science & politics, he is very interesting & you will learn alot, listen to the January 18th broadcast first, as a matter of fact, go to this site, first. You will be able to decide for yourself what you want to believe, as we make our own reality, the information is out there, you just have to seek it. I hope this helps you, dear.

i think that the democrats gaining control of congress is a blessing in disguise for republicans. they will make a few mistakes, a few scandals will surface, and then people will think they're the ones who are evil, and when it comes time to elect another president, they will want a republican.

What makes you think Democrats want either Clinton or Obama?
They're just being pushed by the corporate media for the exact reason you theorize; to elect a Republican.
Let's see how this all plays out. Most of the genuine Liberals I know (not Clinton or Obama) don't want either of them, and are waiting and seeing.

How can they be split? They're both the same, no difference at all.
