Hibernating your computer will copy the data from the RAM to the harddrive. Than the computer will shut off. But next time you boot up, it will copy all that data back onto the RAM and delete it from the harddrive. This will go a lot faster than a regular boot.

You can disable hibernation in power options in control panel.

No it is not harmful for your computer.

Hibernate saves power consumption when you are not using the pc. To turn it off, you can go into the control panel / power options/ click on Hibernate tab/ and make sure the hibernate box is unchecked. Then click ok. It is not harmful in either way, but will boot faster if left on.

its instead of shut down..you make it hibernate so when you turn is back on all your work and what you were doin is still there...but dont think its better because its always better to turn it on from off...because it will be all refreashed instead of the hiernation state which is not really a good start..Its not harmfull but still its better to just not use hibernate
