I voted for him because Kerry was untrustworthy. Kerry didn't say where he stood in anything, he just wavered back and forth.
Also, I was tired of hearing my president criticized by people who couldn't do any better themselves.
But when he got rid of the Bin Laden unit in the CIA, that was the last straw, and then some of the criticism started making sense.
However, most of the criticism is still unjustified, he's not really that different from Reagan or Clinton (in actual things he's done as President), just less charismatic.

Bear in mind that GWB took only a small majority of the popular vote. The election was hardly a slam-dunk.
That, and his critics are much more vocal than his supporters, and have the full cooperation of many large media outlets. The media did (and still do) go out of their way to slant coverage to hurt the President and make his critics look more numerous and forceful than they really are.
In addition, a large number of people have changed their opinions on the war in the past 2 years and thus there really is more criticism against the President than there was at the time of the 2004 election.
Then there's the fact that the Democrats put up Sen. Kerry, who largely failed to excite the electorate in 2004 and in fact still turns many people off.
In other words, if the election were held today, or if the Democratic candidate had been more charismatic, the results would likely be different.

He wasn't.
Exit polls showed Kerry was leading by a significant margin through the entire election, but then the published results didn't match. Under other circumstances, that kind of discrepancy is considered proof of election fraud and been used as justification for overturning a regime by military force.
There's also the little detail that many people in Ohio never got to vote because the lines were too long and they couldn't miss that much work, or because their absentee ballots never arrived. Both the insufficient voting machines and missing absentee ballots occurred only in heavily democratic districts.
However, the margin likely wouldn't have been small enough for them to do that had the Democrats managed to put together a half way decent campaign. Kerry wasn't a very strong candidate to begin with, and they would have been hard pressed to do a worse job marketing what they did have. For that matter, he probably won't have "won" the first time around if Gore hadn't been so freaking pissed off at Clinton.

Well, people need to realize that he is, in fact, a centrist. He is no Reagan. But he has conviction and time will tell of his success.
John Kerry, as well as the democrats in 06, ran on the platform of perceived Republican evil, while not having a real agenda to pursue.
Also the media helps...they grilled in the perception of evil republicanism with Foley and DeLay, while giving passes to democrats like Sandy Berger stuffing classifyed documents down his pants and destroying them before the 9/11 Commission got a hold of them, imagine if a Bush cabinet member did such a thing.
And William Jefferson, Democrat Louisiana, having to reclaim $90,000 in bribes from a freezer in August 2005. Trafficant and Torricelli were other democrats that got little attention despite bribery and expulsion from the House.
When reporters use the term "Culture of Corruption" they are certainly objective.

Good question!
And most claim he stole the first election... which on later recounts proved he did not. Then explain the second election with a strong opponent like Kerry-Edwards.
Also, if he was as dumb as they say he was, explain how he became governor of Texas and won the GOP ticket.
They said Reagan was dumb too... now the call him a genius!

There must be something that is still being hidden and has'nt show up yet.
The fruit of the tree is not ripe yet.
Wonder what fruit is that.
Have to wait and see.
