Ferrets are obligate carnivores and, as such, do not need nor can they metabilize fruits and veggies. It is OK to give a small piece of fruits or veggies once in a while, and even then it must be something that can be consumed with little to no chewing, such as banana, cut up raisin, or cucumber. Hard foods can cause blockage in a ferret's intestine, resulting in death if emergency surgery by a vet isn't done quickly. Sugary foods really should be kept at a bare minimum. Ferrets are prone to insulinoma and too much in the way of sugary things, even natural sugar, can bring it on. Watch her closely; if she stops eating and looks lethargic, she may have a blockage. Just as a precaution, a fingerful of petroleum jelly will help anything that may cause a problem to pass. Just scrape it off onto the roof of her mouth. Generally, ferrets like it (yuck), lol, and will swallow it down with no problems. If the diarrhea is still a problem, a tsp of Pepto will help that. It's hard to not give them treats when they want them, but these little guys will try to eat anything, especially the things you don't want them to. We have to look out for their welfare since they don't.

I do not have any ferrets at the current moment, but I do have a book from when I did that I think every ferret owner should own. It is Ferrets for Dummys. LOL I know, but it IS a good book. It also has a listing of what is toxic to a ferret as well as any foods to never give them. Also has a first aid list.
You may have just given her too much too fast. Give new foods in small amounts to make sure they do not upset thier stomach, or that they are not allergic to the new food. You can also get ferret treats at your local pet store that are created for them and their needs.

Did you give her a core? If she ate seeds, it could be something with the cyanide.
Little bits of apples should not harm them- it must just be that you never feed them any fruit or veggies. Just like if you ate a ton of ice cream, you would get sick the next day as well.
We have a couple ferrets of different ages (7 months to an old bald 10+yr old) and they get a small dish of fruit and veggies every other day- including apples, strawberries, oranges, grapes, melon, etc, and they usually gobble it down with no problems. If your ferret has no bacteria to break down the fruit though, you want to add it in small increments until their digestive system is used to it.

Watch your ferret and if she isnt eating take her to the vet. Diarrhea and vomiting are very red flags when it come to ferrets. Also they are carnivores and do not digest fruit or grain. It is not a good idea to give ferrets fruit.

Oh no. Ferrets can devour that stuff, although that is extremely no food to them. they prefer meat fix issues. as well, grains, culmination, and greens are not person-friendly for his or her stomachs to interrupt down. they don't appear like a rabbit or rodent. they're extra reminiscent of cats.
