I went through the same thing with the doctors for my knee and for my neck, it wasn't until in both cases, after finally being persistent that it wasn't something simple, they finally went ahead and did an MRI, and lo and behold, I had something seriously wrong, both times,

Insist on further testing or at the very least an MRI

Either go to a chiroprator or a massage therapist and DON"T lift from the waist- lift from the knees- that way the weight is on the legs and not the back.To help you sleep at night try sleeping w/ a heat pad for a half hour to relax the muscles.

Go see a doctor again. If the Xrays don't show anything, they can do more sensitive tests like MRIs, CT scans. Don't waste time. A friend of mine had a simple back injury, she had symptoms similar to yours, she wasted time going to see a doctor and ended up having back surgery called a laminectomy. You injury sounds serious, so you might want to have it checked.

Sounds like you might have re-injured it. Please consider switching Drs. Yours doesnt sound too interested in your treatment. Have you thought about going to a chiropractor. I have back pain and know that a chiropractor can work miracles. You might consider contacting a lawyer, either for ongoing injuries from the accident or workmans comp through your employer. Avoid lifting heavy things to prolong your life. See a physio therapist. There is an exercise for back pain. Only the therapist can teach you this. Always bend from the waist.

you can always go to a chiropractor, or physical therapist. You could have a slipped disc, or a pinched nerve. A cousin of mine was also in a car wreck, and he pinched a major nerve and was actually in bed for 2 months, then when he could get around, he could barley even walk around. eventually it unpinched itself, and he was back to normal.
