You can control the amount of oil that your skin produces:)
Many lower quality products contain ingredients that can cause some peoples skin to product more oil. Over drying your skin can also cause it to produce more oil. I would look at changing your skin care products as well as your foundation. Tea Tree Oil helps regulate your skins oil production, as does sea algae.
"100% Pure Eucalyptus Sea foam cleanser" has tea tree oil, and gets skin really clean with out over-drying it out.
"Colorescience" "Creme de la Creme" Use that as a moisturizer, it has sea algae to normalize oil production and moisturizes with milk lipids instead of oils.

I have a friend who's makeup I did once, and the foundation just slid off her face she was so oily! I recommended she use
"Laura Mercer Oil Free foundation"...and it works for her, she loves it.
Colorescience mineral makeup works well too if you're looking for something natural, as long as you get the Invisibly Matte powder to put under the foundation first.

They're not cheap products but they really work.

Never EVER try cheap brands like CoverGirl, Revlon, Loreal, Maybelline, etc.., because according to your oily skin problem, you're gonna need some high quality stuff. I personally would try simple brands like Clinique and Shiseido. They both have special creams for oily skin that can "calm down the drama" a bit, like Clinique AfterMass Oily Skin Treatment is simply DA BEST for oily skin..with just an applied amount every night just after you wash your face with a good scrub, your oiliness will instantly dissappear. Afterwards, you should be able to try real-life luxury make up like Yves Saint Laurent, Chanel, Dior, and Bobbi Brown.

I'm an oily girl too (very oily), and nothing really stops the oil from coming.... thats just a natural fact.
Somethings will slow down the oil, but not stop it.
What works for me is using mineral make-up instead of liquid make-up.
It keeps my face looking fresher longer.

i have very oily skin. i make sure to wash my face on a regular basis. i also use mineral powders. i use BARE ESSENTIALS. it is a really good brand and makes your face not shiny at all. you can sleep in it and it wont cause acne or more oily skin. best of luck!
