In a bike accident i cut the inner part of my Lip and it needed stitches , there was swelling for the first 2 days but now the swelling has come down a lot . 2 day is the 4th day since i have sutures the only problem am facing is there is a thin layer of puss which is forming on the innner portion am washing my mouth with luke warm water to make sure there is no infection caused , am able to chew and manage eating normal food , am only worried about the puss , so is it normal ??? or what should i do???

Gargle with saltwater -- best way to heal anything inside the mouth.

I have stitches in my mouth at the moment to. I'm up to day 5. Rinse your mouth with salt water. Just the salt you put on your food in a bit of warm water and swish it in your mouth and spit it out. Excellent for stitches. Do it as often as you remember.

Pus shows that the wound is infected. The stitches must be removed, otherwise it will not heal. Go back to the hospital.

It's normal. it's an excess skin your body produces. Same thing happened with other parts of your body if it's injured.

puss=infection.
ask your doctor.
