Get a list of all those lobbyists who have offices on K. Street, NW, Washington DC. Washington DC's K Street is now known to the Washington Corridor's commonfolks as the "Filthy Scumbags' and Peddlars Road to Riches".

Yes, money in politics is the reason nothing works for 99.9% of the people. And it's so deeply rooted that the two guys who scream about it the most, who want the system fixed the most, still can't accept public funding and raise their own money. McCain is taking funding for two reasons. 1. To put the screws to Obama. 2. Because he'd have a tough time raising much more than the limit and the RNC will raise over $200 million for him anyway. Obama on the other hand will outraise the DNC 3 to 1. If McCain could raise $300 million, there's no way he takes public funding. It's a politcal move on both thier parts.

Samuel Crow gives a good list. Add to it labor unions, teacher, firefighters, policeman, environmentalists, civil rights movements, and others. There are tons of special interest groups that are involved in politics and they represent almost any viewpoint, industry, or group of people you can imagine.

AIPAC - the Israeli lobby. They're not only involved in political campaigns, they dictate who does and does not get elected. Israel OWNS our government.

One represents people.

The other represents businesses.

The second one has more money, which is why people get screwed.
