If you did laugh at him do you regret laughing now because most of what he told us has come true. Do you ever wonder where our country would be if he had won? I think he is the person that might have moved us in the right direction.

One thing he told us was that if Nafta passed we would hear a big woosh as jobs left for other countries. Guess sometimes a whiney old doofus might know a thing or two, that is what happened.

hell no I didn't laugh, I did every thing I could to help him be elected, he was a great American and would have turned this country around and I feel today our citizens would not even be paying income tax any more, also look at what he did for his people who he thought were imprisoned in Iran, he hired his own mercenaries to go in and get them, while every one knows how Carter screwed up his rescue attempt, while he had much more advantage, I just wish Perot would have ran and won after Reagan, who was also a very good president, we should look for better leaders in our future elections, and not some dumb azz like Clinton or Bush,we should look for independents when they put such crap on the ballot,

A clever way to connect the dots, your theory has some credence, but I wouldn't call Ross Perot the 'root cause' of Hillary running. Her desire for power existed way before Ross Perot considered running. The fact that it played out like this is pure chance. Had Ross not run, perhaps Clinton would have won in '98, and then Hillary would still be pursuing her goal. I think this is something she would have tried to posture herself for repeatedly using any means necessary.

No I did not. Ross Perot has a true love for his country and just wanted to help. Ross Perot is a true patriot in every sense of the word. Didn't he finance his own campaign with the help of volunteers? And yes, he could have moved us in the correct direction.

I was thrilled when Perot ran. I'm glad he didn't win, but much of what he said proved very real (we really *are* peeing away our children's futures!) and he brought an element to the debates that we hadn't seen in several elections. I'd love to see the two-party system topple. So just because he lost doesn't mean he was a loser!

I never laughed at him. His running mate turned things around for many. I think you are right. Just wish NAFTA was never allowed to slip in. I'm sure Perot would have helped us see the devil in it.

Anyone not named Bush or Clinton would have moved us in a better direction than what we have had for the last 19 years.

I think Clinton did a great job as a president. If anything we shouldn't be questioning the election in 92, we should be questioning the election in '00.

I lauged then and I still laugh when I think about that whiney doofus being POTUS.

Moved us in the right direction? Hell, I can't even remember what his platform was.

He had the old admiral with one foot in the grave and the other on a banana peel, I remember.
