Actually, I think safe sex is more broadly practiced among gay people than among straight people. The HIV infection rate has dropped a lot since its early onset, although it has risen a bit in recent years.

Your assumptions sound like you are singling out gay men unfairly, as if you consider our actions as totally off base. Have you talked with anyone in college or high school lately? The sexual norms of several decades ago have changed a lot.

For the same reason young straight people have unsafe sex. No one thinks it can happen to them. So they take the risk, and continue taking it because they think "I was good last time, so I should be okay this time, too."

Its not easy to find dental dam in a regular pharmacy!

Anyways, i think its because they cant get pregnant so they sometimes take the risk for unsafe sex
