Honey, change is difficult for most people. Why exactly do you want to change jobs though? You seem a bit conflicted because you talk about "love for your existing job" and then say that you are "underpaid and wasting time". Are you sure you don't just want to leave because you're comparing yourself to your friends? If your life hasn't taken the same path it's probably for a reason. What do you have, or could you have, that they don't? Try and look for that first.

1) If you are a good anchor and orator you can easily get a job in any of the TV channels for anchoring a TV show.
2) If you are good at anchoring, It should n't be difficult for you to a good public speaker too.
3) If you can succeed in 1 & 2 above,it should be very easy for you to shed your inferiority complex.
4)If you are not enjoying your job and the remuneration is average and low, it is time to think of a job change and 12 years association with your present employer should not come on ypur way to seek a better future.
5)List out our job skills and strengths ,prepare a good CV and start applying fornew jobs.Prepare well to face the interviews,if called for.
Join a new company with out any hesitation and start a new leaf in life.It will work wonders.
if you are at the *** end of your career , there is no point in trying for new jobs, but you are some where madway in your career and definitely you can venture for new jobs.
Pl. take your family members into confidence and with their whole hearted support go ahead in search of better opportunities.
6) Don't quit the present job unless you get a new job.
7) Try to do some part time job to get extra income.
8)Do your duty ,take life as it comes and try to live happily.
9) True happiness is in your mind only and nowhere else.
10)Mental and physical health and piece of mind are the back bones of human lives and work towards achieving them.
WISH YOU GOOD LUCK!

Do you think you are asking questions to a Psychologist in this forem?..... they might be....

First a good anchor and orator don't have the qualities you said... It doesn't mean you are not a good orator anchor.... If you wanna become what you desired.... You must quit those which prevent you.... No one can become a great man wothout doing mistakes... try several times... when you fail findout what is the wrong you had done... correct your mistakes... then try again and again... AS you did when you was a child... What you did... Don't you never failed when try walking?..... where is that confidence now?... be a grown up and behave like one.... Never give up... If you really wanna become a good orator and anchor..... ALL THE BEST.... Never try to run out of problems... try to face it... at the moment you try to run out from a problem... You become a living dead person.... Keep it in mind.. Practice speaking at the moment you wake up in the morning and at the time you go to bed... say yourself that you don't have fear for crowd....

Nothing is Permanent in this world except the Change. Hence, u too have the change to like Ur new job and to enjoy Ur new job. Go ahead whether plus or minus. Be strong that u will achieve more than Ur friends.

Ur friend has the same thing as u have. But, his position is better than u ..because of his try, hard work is very more than u. Why don't u ready to work hard?

As by Newton's law, Every action has an equal and opposite reaction. If work hard means u will earn more and enjoy more.
Go Ahead...Future will for you

I think that you are depressed and there are so many reasons...
Maybe job has became a monothony for you cos you have been there 12 year long...or maybe you just need some vacancies...

If you are so good anchor and orator but afarid from speaking in a public than you must do smth...
Go in a huge place(stadium or...)and practice alone the first time speaking to a invisible public...cos fear must take from the easier...Than If you feel that you can do it,begin with the level 2...speak in front of friends....than level 3 in front of evrybody....but this must take one by one, step by step...no fastly....
But the most important is that you must work with yourself....your opinion about yourself...change this attitude...never think that you are lower than your friends....(If you are honest and a good person than your are higher...)
You must have confidence in your attitudes and in yourself...but you must be more agilible...that's all!
Or maybe you need a lfe partner If you dont have one...Maybe I am too in but I am taking this seriously....
The only thing that will help you is AGILITY!
HOPE TO HAVE HELPED YUO A BIT!

Change is hard for most people. if you think you can do better somewhere new then advance before you get stuck. Sticking to a dead end job is pointless, you are wastign potential.

I dont knwo what field you work in, but the older you get the less likely you atre to be hired, so if you change jobs while youre still marketable, you could have a long history somehwere new. Start looking and submitting your resume while you are still employed. Give your job notice only after you have been hired on by a new company. Make sure all your benefits are the same or better before you take a new postiion somewhere.

Think long and hard and weigh all your options before you make a final decision. Work on your confidence level, no one wants to hire somone who isnt confident in their abilities.

Dude, looks to me you are ready to try out a new job. All you need is some reassurance.

If you have fear, its normal. Everyone is afraid of the unknown. There are 2 types of fear,1st is the good fear and then you have fear born out of inertia.

Good fear helps us to make decision that may save our life, for example you wont drive off a cliff for fear of losing your life. The 2nd type of fear is the fear of the unknown like moving to a new city or in your case a new job.

Do not confuse both fears. If you think you may suceed in a new job, go ahead and give it a try. Be responsible for the choice you made and srtive to make it a success. Do not let your inferior complex stops you. You will become much more confident if you try and suceed,so give it a try and good luck, buddy.

There might be some evening-school course about giving speeches, about self-assertion, where you live that you might try to attend. I think you should immediately start a search about some such course. Another possibility, which also may be less expensive than attending formal evening courses is about involving a little assembly of friends. You might ask some of your good friends, even three or four of them would be enough, if they would like to have some evenings together with you where you could exercise together in the oratorial art. You might even get lots of fun together, and good beverages, and so overcome that psychological complex of yours. Another possibility that you may practice alone is to stand in front of a large mirror in your own room and so loudly declaim speeches and poems for later doing the same in front of a limited assembly of for instance friends of yours. So, here you have three possibilities, and you might even contrive combinations, and developments, of these. Good luck!

When you think about your co-workers, remember that you spend more awake time with them than your family members. To leave a job after 12 years would give anyone an anxiety attack. Just be brave. My co-workers and I kept in contact by eating out every month, then every few months, then we just quit. By the time we quit, we were ready to get on with our lives. I still miss my friends but the new friends are greater than ever.
