Its a bit late to release my forecast for this year.....

Starting from February, the summer might start from the mid of March untill then it would be a bit chill and comfortable.

The month April brings lot of heat along with it and the next two months would be really hot. Many stations across north India would record zero rainfall and the days would be really tired (often called DOG DAYS).

By the way, the south west monsoon may hit the coromandle coast by the start of June and it gradually starts to envelope the country and reaches our capital by the end of June.

And once it gets into action, there might be episodes of floods, losses to life and property and BULK RELEASE OF WATER to the SEA. Cloud burst might occur over parts of central India (as usuall). At the same time, down south - Andhra and Tamil Nadu) might feel the heat of SHORTAGE OF WATER.

The farmers in these region starts to agitate and as the month moves on.... the monsoon comes to an end. After about 10 days or so, the North east monsoon hits the eastern coast of the nation. The monsoon would start with a bang, pouring down lot of rainfall over this region (particularly over Chennai and the nearby cities) and turns off. (It becomes normal that, chennai receives heavy rainfall only for the first weak or the first 10 days of November and says bye....)

Thats all. The monsoon (north east) comes to an end. Then the winter season starts. North, North - Eastern and parts of Central India reels under immense cold wave and this continues till the end of January 2008.

Thanks to the global warming for the uncharcteristic rainfall pattern - that have become charcteristic today.

And a special thanks to our central and state governments who are still speaking about the linking of the rivers across India without taking firm steps......
