Thailand certainly does. Problems with it's world wide use are of distribution since most petrol stations do not stock LPG. In some countries tax laws make LPG less attractive and in the event of an accident LPG can be more dangerous than diesel or petrol.

Yes it is commonly used in EU. More commonly as the technology improves. Most of the cars are what is called dual fuel. ie they run on peroleum and LPG.
Also used in NZ and I believe Australia. I had a Landrover Discovery converted to LPG in UK. Economical running, but the technician did a terrible,shoddy job which had to be repaired. Many technicians however do a great job. To the best of my knowledge GM are selling new dual fuel friendly cars in the EU.
I believe LPG is going to be more commonly used in the future as the technology continues to improve. It is very cheap!

yes, besides india, philippines have cars(mostly taxis) running on LPG. there are less than 10 LPG stations for cars in the metro manila area. most of the LPG cars in the philippines are found in cebu.

i know cars that run on LPG in Zimbabwe as well. I know the also sell it to cars at a number of service stations here.

I know of a guy in Kansas USA that has modified an Omni to run on purified used cooking oil.

don't know if they are with cars... but most forklifts in the US are LPG... the rest are electric
