Most reserach intrinsically have some bias in them. However, quantitative research is probably the closest you can get to true, unbiased research. (Quant research is usually survey based, using statistics to generalize to the population.) Of course, the questionnaire used can always introduce bias, but if you are a good reseacher you can remove this. I find that qualitative research has the most danger of bias. (Qual research would be face to face in depth interviews, ethnographies, participant observation, and the like.) With qual research it's a lot easier to "forget" or "miss" the cases that dont' fit neatly. With quant research, you can't get around significance. Hope this helps!
