Whether we do that NOW; in two years; or in ten years- we're all GOING to find out. Because that's EXACTLY what's going to happen anyway. The only difference will be- the number of American & Iraqi dead, in the meantime. So which pullout time would YOU propose, hm???

Liberals have never had a plan, will never have one. You talk like a Liberal, you do not care about our safety, just like the Liberals do not. All in Iraq is not bad, Troops take out the bad ones , kill the bad. The good ones need to be protected, like in America, we good ones need to be protected. So, why not let us roll with Bush and win the war on terrorism, and let the Liberals go back to picking their fleas off each other as they have done for at least 40 years.

Check out the *bipartisan* Iraq Study Group's report--it should be available online somewhere. We can't pull out of Iraq completely because we are to some extent responsible for throwing them into chaos in the first place. That said? We do not need to be fighting Sunnis for the Shia, or fighting Shiites for the Sunnis. We need to be there for reasons other than military might. So we should be able to bring some of our troops home, and we certainly don't need a surge. But we shouldn't pull out completely.
As for bombing anyone--shame on whoever said that. These people were minding their own business until we decided to "bring Democracy" to them.

That will not be a problem much longer, however it will not just be the middle east involved in killing each other. This will happen on a global scale. They say no man will no the day, and this is true. It does not say that no man will see the signs and know the time is near.

is it me or does none of the answers above make any sense?
I'm all for letting everyone in the middle east kill each other off, they've been doing it for centuries why do we think it will change.
but there are two problems getting our troops out safely and two the possibility that there wars will spill over into other countries.

You guys don't realize the dynamics, here. There is about to be a change in this country that's going to make a difference. We just need the ability to exploit it.
Give it a chance and you'll see Iraqi Nationals standing up for their country against outside influence to include Al-Qaida and Iran.
Just work with it.

That is deplorable thinking but I will consider the source?
No that is wrong, but it would be wrong of us to stay if we are defeating our own purpose? eh? And that is why I think we should withdraw for now. And regroup our team to see what is what over there.

What would be wrong with getting our troops out and just dropping a bomb, so that no more Americans have to dye?
