Yes, we could become a monarchy. Some of the posts above me have stated that the Constitution really would not allow a monarchy, and that is for the most part true. But if you study history enough, you will see when most monarchies are formed. It happens when corruption is rampant, government is inefficient, and the people are angry at their politicians. A new charismatic leader comes and promises to fix the people's problems, and the country gives him a blank check to do this (just like what happened for Chavez in Venezuela) This now extremely powerful leader soon declares himself to be a king, and there you have it, the U.S.A is a monarchy. Long story short, I believe that America will become a monarchy before the century is out. But it will probabaly not happen in a peaceful fashion.

The French are starting to be rid of the monarchy two times. First with a bloody revolution from 1789-ninety 2. The monarchy change into restored from 1814-40 8, yet there change into yet another revolution. So I doubt they actually favor a monarchy decrease back. At this element i do not imagine there is absolutely everyone left who ought to have a valid declare to the throne besides. If France ever did have yet another king, it ought to in all likelihood be via conquest with assistance from the British or Spanish.

Doubt it. There has already been one war fought to get rid of a monarchy and another to keep them out. Little fact about the Revolution is that Prince Charlie (of Scotland fame) was offered the crown of the Americas and turned it down stating that a new nation needed a new form of government. I doubt that the military and the majority of the American citizens would support a monarchy and would seek to overthrow it ASAP

No. The US Constitution forbids the issuance or acceptance of titles and limits the number of terms a president can hold. It assures that leadership is based on election rather than on a family lineage.

If you're an American then you are nearing to it if Bush remain the President of USA. Why? Because he is trying to overthrow every leader who threatens the US. He is trying to teach every leaders in the world how to rule their country. He is trying to stamp his name and attitude to every leaders of the world. He would frown at leaders who will defy his policy. To tell you the truth the Philippines was able to experience his DISPLEASURE when our President Gloria M. Arroyo defy him twice: when one of our overseas worker was a hostage in Iraq, one of the condition for his release is to pull out the Philippine contingency group in Iraq. Our president pull out the said group and was frowned by Bush. The second incident was when justice people of Pres. Arroyo convicted and jailed one of the US military officer, Bush postponed the Balikatan military exercises in Tawi-tawi. So the justice dept. people allowed the US man to be detained at the US embassy, and as a reward for that the military exercises will resume this month. I don't know why Bush (and Republicans) are war-freak people. So if Bush will remain in office then he will be KING BUSH someday. Condolence to the American people if that happened.
