it's a letter R with a star shape...I had a plain black hoodie and i loved it. then I lost it and i'd love to buy one just like it...any ideas?

That sounds to me like the logo for Rockstar Games, the company behind such games as Grand Theft Auto. If the logo was ON the hoodie and not inside on the tag, it might've been a Rockstar hoodie. Otherwise, I'd guess Russell.

because the call "STARTER' is made through different distributors, I refuse to purchase there form anymore by way of many distributors that make the clothing by way of inconsistency of the sizes. i purchased some mens briefs, the stretchy form, and in common words one in good structure me. Then i purchased the better length and wager what? Too small! So i'm stuck with underclothes i am going to't use and also you particular as hell can't go back underclothes. extra perfect off sticking with a form call like Hanes.

i think it might be rockstar. they made a few cool games. if possible, play any of the grand theft auto games, and at the start of the game it might show the symbol your talking about. or even on the back of the cover the game comes in. have a look in the shops. try ebay, or a gaming shop for another one.
