I purchased a "used" electric guitar recently. It was advertised as a Fender California Strat, and looked extremely similar to other california strats there. the only difference was that it had a humbucking pickup and the neck head thing (what ever it's called with the tuning pegs) was very slightly different. It also had "S101 standard" printed on it with a logo featuring an S. the Serial number is: EFS24/BK. it has a black body and a fender style tremolo.

My question is this: is this some obscure, little known about Fender model guitar, or a knock off?

Also, it is made in China.

There are a couple pictures of it there, please look at these, it will give you a better idea of what it is.

Thanks for any help.

any details on who it's made by and whats giving it away as a knockoff in your eyes would be great, thanks.

Heck, I don't care if it's a knock off, it still plays great, awesome pickups, great neck, nice solid heavy body, not some resin piece of crap.
