There is a problem in Win98 OS pcs. The problem is when we place the Pen Drive into the existing USBs they did not identify the Pen drive and ask for the software. What is the software needed to overcome the same?

Usually, the software comes with the pendrive itself.
U can find it in the cd along with the drive.
If u r not able to locate it, search in the net for s/w.

In win 98 pen drives are not identified unless you install the driver of the pen drive. The driver will be in the cd which you will get with the pendrive. So install the driver and proceed.

Refer to the Literature you have given with Pen Drive by your Vendor and go to the web site of the Manufacturer and download the driver from the site and install it. Now you can access your Pen drive even in Win 98.

Win 98 wants drivers for the pen drive. Win XP automatically detects its drivers but Win 98 cant. u can install its drivers from the CD that comes along with the pen drive...

For Win2000 and WinXP, there is no need to install software for Pen Drives. But for lower versions, Win98 and below, you have to install the software for that Pen Drive.
Go to google and search for the software. While searching, use the company name of the Pen Driver as key word.
eg. "download driver for Transcend Pen Drive"

different pendrives have different driver software. you have to keep the CD which came along with the pendrive inorder to use the pendrive in Win98 systems. For WinXP it is not a problem. It has a lot of drivers inbuilt.

most of the pendrives comes with softwares. If u dont find software CD with product,u can download the installation software from products website and can install in your pc.
