This is my guess... Peyton Manning wins another superbowl or two and everyone is gonna start hating him like alot of people are starting to dislike Tom Brady. Everybody loved Peyton because he has these unbelievable regular season stats and no ring to show for it. Do you know why he has those stats... because of his unbelievable offense... haha, put Jon Kitna on that team... looks the same way... or Tom Brady... you have 5-6 superbowls by now. Not many look at the greater picture... leadership, game management, quality of players & what they do overall. It's really silly.

Somehow, someway people are always going to hate on a guy no matter what he does. I beleive that Manning is the best qb today and when it's all said and done he'll be the greatest ever. But that's my opinion. I just think it's ignorant and stupid to say that qb's are judged on championships. Last I heard there were 53 guys on a football team. Emphasis on the word "team" and qb's go as far as their teams go.

Take for example John Elway. So the media is saying that if he didn't win those two titles he'd be any less of a qb? Absolute garbage. Elway didn't do anything special in those two years, his running game and team just got better and by the end of the day was the best. Same could be said for Terry Bradshaw. A guy with a career 52% completion rate, 212 td's and 210 int's. Not very special to me but he has four rings. Not because of his greatness but because he had a great all around team.

Manning is a special QB. You dont get all in the record books like that for nothing. To consistently be successful against NFL defences is an achievement. They are trying hard to stop him every week you know. A good offence starts with a good quarterback leader - take Michael Vick, I love his game, hes spectaclar athlete, but he does not have the quiet steady leadership that Manning obviously enjoys (Well he also doesnt have Coach dungy). All great QBs had very good receivers to pass to, it is a combo thing. But you gotta put the ball where they can catch it. And when you have a receiver that catches everything coming his way, even when the QB has to thread the needle, that makes for a record breaking offence.

Dont hate on Manning or the Colts. Or Brady or Grossman for that matter. Admire them for their achievements and move on,.

I've been a lifelong Colts fan, and I think Peyton Manning has been great, the best the Colts have had since Unitas. It's nice that the Manning critics have been silenced for a change. The comparisons between him and Marino were pretty good though. Count me as one of those that got some strange bit of delight every time Miami got eliminated in the playoffs and teasing the Dolphin fans I knew about Marino. I guess what goes around comes around.

Peyton Manning was a class act and a great quarterback before winning a superbowl and he will remain that way. I always thought that Brady is too. Unfortunately a lot of people are jealous when someone does something great I guess.

Peyton Manning is better than Marino(who has no SB rings) and Tom Brady is the next Joe Montana. The reason why ppl are haters is that they like to see change in the big game.

think back when John Elway was with Denver. Some hated him and most loved him. I loved him but I also live in Denver.
