If I run 1 hour a day on the treadmill for a month, do you think I would get toned all over?

Well, yeah, it is possible, running on a treadmill exercises your whole body, abs, back, neck, even your arms. Now, depending on your current body type, the results might not seem all that much of a different, but you have to try it out to see how your body reacts to exercise, but if you do that for a month, your rate of getting healthier will rise, so I would encourage you to continue it after wards. Even do something lighter after the first month, as a break, and trust me, the next month will be a breeze after the break.
Good luck,

Yes I would hope so! You make it sound like 1 hour is no big deal. You are doing a lot better than me, I would be out of breath after running for 5 minutes! It sounds like a great way to tone your body and lose weight. I wish I could afford a treadmill, it is so cold in Iowa in the winter, can't walk or run outside.

you will only get toned if you do some sort of resistance training like weights. treadmill is good for cardiovasuclar health and keeping your heart healthy. It is a good way to burn calories, which translates to fat. But to tone, you need to strength muscles. try either light weights, or yoga or pilates for toning.

Do the treadmill for 30-45 minutes and do upper body every even day of the week, and lower body wieghts every odd day of the month. Toning is targeting a specific group of muscles.

the treadmill will keep your heart healhty and you lean, weights will help tone.

do both, and upper body one day, lower body next, abs everyday!! sit-ups, crunches, leg lifts, curls, arm work-outs are important.

No. You need to work your muscles to get toned, and there are entire muscle groups you're missing with jogging. Your arms, for instance. Try weightlifting or something like yoga. Anything, really, that makes your muscles work will make them toned.

No. Cardio isn't the only key. Lifting weights helps tone or doing resistance training as well.

Tread mill is used more for losing weight than toning your muscles up.

If you want to only tone your muscles without losing much weight then workout in a gym.

no, you'll burn calories but to get toned you have to work the individual muscles
circuit training is the best or just get some light hand and ankle weights or try Pilate's or yoga
