The most acceptable would be probably by a large margin the US. We are all doped up over here on some kind of feel good medication so saying we are depressed is an outlet to get more or get attention. However in nations such as Japan (more years ago than today) or the old Germany saying you where weak or depressed or anything of that sort was looked upon as a loss of honor and repsect and was almost as bad as being "ugly" is in the US today. Kind of messed up that we put such importance on how fashionable someone looks today even if they are weak or dishonerable. I would rather have a funky looking lad save my life than some prissy looking idiot watch me die in fear of not being "cool". But in the same breath I would say that I do have respect for the fact that someone can be honestly depressed and need help in enjoying life more fully.

Haven't you noticed this "emo" fad in America?

Apparantly, kids think being dark and depressed is cool. Personally, I think its sick to promote such an attitude, and most of the kids have no clue what real depression is.
