Thats why it`s called a tossed salad, to get the dressing to coat all the ingredients. Sometimes a salad is served with a heap of dressing on top or on the side, making it difficult to mix in a small bowl.

Yummy, when you toss it, all the tid bits get coated with the creamy white dressing. The taste is perfection.
