I'm not sure I understand the question, as children can be either male or female, so it doesn't really make sense to speak of the intelligence of females as compared to that of children.

In terms of adults, men and women tend to score similarly on broad standardized tests, with the differences being mostly attributable to different levels of education rather than gender.

There is a tendency for men to do better on mathematics-type questions and for women to do better on reading-writing type questions, though it is a small difference (usually 10% or less), and evidence seems to indicate that this is due to cultural biases and not any genetic advantage.

It depends on the situation. If a Female is at home with her kids then she can be on the same level as them, still being able to look after them safely. If she is in the workplace she will adjust her intelligence level with each situation so as to never make a man feel stupid but still be able to advance in her career.
