If its sounding the alarm its doing its job. You have a carbon monoxide issue. Open some windows, doors, etc and get some fresh air. Carbon Monoxide is POISON and deadly.

If your alarm is going off it does not necessarily mean you have a carbon monoxide issue. If you are running propane and your tank is getting low..mine likes to go off when that happens. As for the detector itself, they are not very accurate at all. I am surprised they even get away with selling them. Call your fire department and tell them you think you have a carbon monoxide problem and look at the size of the detector they bring in your house. Hmm....wonder why it is almost 4 times the size of the little one kidde sold you for $40. Even the fire dept will tell you how unreliable they are. They are just simply better than nothing. They are only good for 7 years as well. Obviously you want to call the fire dept if it goes off and if they come in and tell you everything is fine come back on here and select me as your best answer.

Please Notice that this is serious.. If your alarm is going off, there is a reason. You cannot smell Carbon Monoxide... These alarms are trying to keep you alive.....
If you a gas furnace or gas logs or Kerosene heaters, ALL of these may be putting you and anyone else in your home or apartment in danger.. OPEN YOUR WINDOWS NOW !! GET SOME FRESH AIR... Carbon Monoxide poisoning causes you to feel tired or sleepy and causes unclear thinking... Call you local fire department and ask questions

Quit running your car in the house first off. Then open some windows and doors. Then take the battery out of it and unplug it if it's that type. On a more serious note, take a look at the answer above mine. DAH!!! THE CO DETECTOR IS GOING OFF FOR A REASON!!!

Take out the battery, and get a new one. Those are known to fail after a few years, and something like that should not be in question as to whether or not its functioning correctly.

if you just wait near it long enough, you won't hear it anymore
you won't hear anything for that matter because you'll be dead
but who cares because you're a failure who can't even relize when an ALARM GOES OFF TO WARN YOU FOR THE SAFETY OF YOUR LIFE
