There are banks of every "color" in Athens. You can find Citibank as well if you must. The National Bank ( Ethniki) is the largest and has branches in New York, London etc. It is currently consolidating to get higher yields I suspect, and dealing there has been problematic and time consuming. Other private Greek banks and foreign ones as well are ususally more efficient.

Your question is somewhat suspicion; i am hoping you're literally not a troll! besides your concerns are finished incorrect, major vacationer in Greece are united kingdom human beings this on my own might want to make you already know incorrect way we do not have the most vacationer been Brits. individuals are welcome and Greece is between the saves countries in eu with the bottom criminal fee, neither terrorist attacks or inspite of. In Athens there is lots to do and all lodges have loose travellers options on what to do, the position to bypass in Athens, its as a lot as you what you want to do! What you ought to no longer bypass over is clearly vacationing the Acropolis and the hot museum & bypass to the former city of Athens Plaka!

Unless things have changed a whole lot, Greek Banking is a one way deal, that is, you can convert one way only. Dollars to Drachma.
