Where can i find hippie/tree hugger/ save the earth type organizations in Utah?

I've tried google and yahoo. Nothing really comes up. I'm looking for things that i can sign up to help for but not pay money to sign up, because I'm pretty much poor. I would do PETA but they make you pay. Please help!

1. You will be extremely lucky to find an organisation that has no membership fee. However there are plenty that will make good use of volunteers. [A member can determine/influence policy, a volunteer just works].

3. If you're really into the lifestyle, then here you can find is a list of five communes (intentional communities) in Utah. Normally you will need some financial resources to be able to participate fully, however most will accept non-resident visitors, especially if ones who are willing to do voluntary work.

Just curious on how exactly you are going to 'sign up' to help...time wise and volunteer wise?

In Moab, there are a tremendous amount of community service project focused on protecting the environment here, and assisting restoration of damaged areas.

Volunteer for the BLM, NPS, USFS.
