I have very limited time, and several new DVDs to watch. Please rank first to last, best to worst. I realize it's personal, and there are many criteria, but I want to see if any trends develop; Saw 2, Pulse unrated, Hills Have Eyes Unrated, Skeleton Key, Gothika, Van Helsing, Audition(?), Alone in the Dark. Thanks.

I am a huge Horror buff, and have seen all these movies. Lets hope this helps you
Audition: Start with this to get the ball rolling. The last 1/3 of the movie will get your adrenaline pumping
Hills Have Eyes- Unfortunately, I love the origional way more thats why I rank it here, but if you have the new version it is worth putting up here.
Saw 2- Good who dunit type horror with some interesting twists, but somewhat weak storyline
Skeleton Key- Very good twist ending but some of the info leading up to it gets kind of annoying and slightly repetitive
Gothika- Creepy mental asylum/supernatural picture. A little hokey but some of the dark asylum stuff can give you the chills.
Van Helsin- Not very scary at all but a good monster action flick that will keep you entertained.
Pulse- I thought this was pretty stupid. Too many loose ends for my taste and it just dragged and was quite boring. Very unorigional. They keep remaking Asian horror films that were never good to begin with and making them worse....
Alone in the Dark- Absolutely terrible. Could be one of the worst overall films I have ever seen. Acting, story, effects....all terrbile. If the premise of this story intrigues you, forget all about seeing this and go see The Descent. That film would be # 2 on this list, but Alone in the Dark.....bottom feeding garbage on this list.....

Audition, Saw 2, Hills Have Eyes, Pulse, Skeleton Key, Gothika, Alone in the Dark, then Van Helsing.
Audition is just creepy on an epic scale (don't let the 1st 45 minutes fool you).
Saw 2 and the Hills Have Eyes are scary in the gross blood and guts kind of way. Pulse and Skeleton Key aren't really gory, but more along the lines of supernatural thrillers. Gothika almost fits in the same category as the previous two, but I felt it was a little hokey. And Alone in the Dark and Van Helsing are just good old fashion cheesefests.

Ok this would be how i'd watch them. I've only seen 3 before so here's my personal selection;
Starting with Audition,Van Helsing,Gothika,Skeleton Key,Alone in the Dark,Saw 2,Pulse,Hill Have Eyes.

I'm a fanatic of horror, terror and suspense so i'm taking great pride in helping you on this one.
Gothika-pretty descent story and creepy, Pulse-I’m a fan of Japanese terror and this rips elements from just that, Saw 2-great movie but I liked 1 and 3 better. do not watch 3 without watching this one first, Skeleton Key-nice twist ending and pretty original in the plot, Van Helsing- awesome. I only placed it here because it’s not horror or suspense like the others. I heard Hills have Eyes was good and I heard it was bad. a lot of people wasn’t comfortable with the extreme torture scenes though. never heard of audition and I’ve heard all too much that Alone in the Dark sucked.

I liked Skeleton Key and Van Helsing. Haven't seen the others so I can't comment on them. My sister said she enjoyed Saw 2 and Gothika in addition to the ones I mentioned.

Don't bother with Hills Have Eyes, Skeleton Key and Van Helsing..Otherwise save Saw 2 for last.

I would also recommend watching Saw 3 as well if you haven't already.
