There is only USB 1.1 and USB 2.0.
There is nothing newer on the market in USB than version 2.0.

USB 2.0 is "supposed" to be backward compatable with USB 1.0. Of course, Windows 98 was "supposed" to be a reliable operating system, too. However, I have never had a problem with the backward compatability of USB 2.0 vs 1.0 and I have fixed probably about 300 or more computers.

USB 2.0 is the latest standard and should be compatible with all USB devices. Most USB devices are backwards compatible wi standards 1.0 and 1.1, they are just low bandwidth and restrict the potencial of your newer devices.

USB 2.0 will interface will all the USB devices. 2.0 is the latest one which we have in the market.
