O.K. first you need to raise the humidity in your snakes cage and or give it a water bowl that it can lay in. In a large to med. container fill it with baby bath warm water, using ALL precautions (because it is very cranky right now and probably will bite) take it out of it's cage and soak it in the water for about an hour. once a day until it has a full and complete shed. With a proper diet and water supply a pythons and a Boas shed should look like a rolled up pantie hose. Good Luck and contact me if you have any further questions

Here's what worked for me--

1) Put the snake in a wet pillowcase or snake bag for an hour or two to soften up the eyecaps.

2) Dry the snake's face off.

3) Take a piece of scotch tape and VERY GENTLY press it on the retained eyecap. Remove it slowly, working by pulling on one end of the tape only so as to life the eyecap from the edge, not straight up. This will usually remove the eyecap, and it's not painful to the snake. And check and make sure there was only one extra eyecap--I've seen snakes with two or three, one on top of the other.

If your snake frequently retains eyecaps, your cage is too dry.

It's best not to go about doing this yourself. Make sure his humidty is at the right level, give him an opportunity to soak, if that doesn't work, either take him to the vet or to a GOOD RELIABLE reptile petstore or if you got him from a breeder that knows what they're doing, see if they'll help. Don't go messing with your snake's eyes.

raise the humidity in the tank, leave a large bowl of water in the tank and some rough bark. If he hasn't got rid of them in a couple of hours take a cotton bud with lukewarm water and gently wipe over the caps. they should come loose and slide off. Dont poke at his eyes! and if they dont come off for you take him to your local pet specialist or reptile supplier, they'll know what their doing and won't do any damage.

Get some mineral oil and use a Q-Tip very gently dab some on the eye and leave it there. It should come off with the mineral oil.

I left them alone and never worried about them. 100% of the time, they came off in the next shed.
