my dad always says that in spite of the fact that we are so advanced, no longer have imperialistic ambitions in the world, we still fall into some of the same flaws as people 100s, perhaps 1000s of years before us. What are some of these?

The fact that people spend so much time and money developing better and more advanced ways of killing each other for starters. People have alot of problems that cant easilly be solved. About the only thing we as a species have going for us is are intellegence and ability to adapt to allmost any invironment. Are intellegence however gets the better of us more times than not. If every human being on the planet would just learn to co-exist we could do amazing things. If every person on the planet combined there resources and intellegence we would be able to do amazing things.
But as long as people find the need to kill and fight each other the world will only go down hill. People think global warming is a problem?!? Look at what people do to each other on a daily basis!!!!!
I try and just get along with everyone and not discriminate based on skin color or beliefs. If everyone would just realize that everyone is different and has different views on life the world would be such a better place. There would still be some criminals out there but there would be alot less crime.
People however will NEVER act like this, they will do what they have been doing for hundreds of years.....kill each other
