How do I get my space back on my ipod? My 4GB ipod says I've used 3.68 GB. I've actually only used 2.43 GB for music & 27mb is used on the "other" section. From what I understand the other is what was already on the ipod when it was purchased, memory used for song titles, clock etc... So how do I get the space that is missing back? I'm missing almost a whole GB, and I KNOW it's not the song titles taking up that much space. I should have like 2.23GB left.

when you purchase an ipod and it says something like 4 gb of space, this is not true, it actually is an estimate, i have an iPod that is supposed to hold 4 gb as well, but if you go to the "about" section under "settings" it gives you a better estimate on how much space your iPod has. mine is approx 3.7 GB of memory,, so you are losing ~0.3 GB of memory. this is why you have less space than you are expecting

only about all mp3 gamers comprise a journaling partition at thepersistent. because of this once you get for instance a 4gb participant it says you've 3.80gb accessible. the different is used for the partition. it truly is doubtless truly one of the gap that you try to get lower back. The partition incorporates thoughts that tells the computing device the thanks to get admission to thepersistent swifter. you may want to erase this partition, yet that could make the participant ineffective. briefly you may't get that area lower back. If that is any convenience, i develop into enormously ticked when I discovered this out. If I pay were given 40gb of area, i pick precisely 40gb of area.

It needs some space for the software to make your songs work- plus they don't come with as much as they say, it's just an estimate.
