He is only 5'8 and under 210 pounds and yet he dominates and plays the game like nobody can beat him. He always plays aggressive, hits hard (which is common in defensive players that played in the Big Ten in college, he played in Iowa), is a leader on the field and in the locker room, and his size has never got in the way of him making a big takle, a big hit, a big forced fumble, and/or a big interception, not to mention the fact that when he plays the defense is awesome because of the attitude and determination he brings. I think he is the best Safety in the NFL now and there is not alot of ways you can prove me wrong. The city of Indianapolis (my hometown) and Indiana is going nuts! GO COLTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! INDY! INDY! INDY!

Yeah, he's one of the best. He never seems to get enough recognition. He isn't the sole reason that Indy's D turned itself around, (tackling, acceleration, and aggressiveness have progressively improved,) but he is a team leader. The entire team plays better with him on the field. Combine that with his laser-guided, heat-seeking, missile-like ability to home in on the ball OR the ball carrier, and he is probably one of the top safeties.

Ed Reed is better, though. Occasionally, Sanders guesses wrong and ends up in the wrong spot, or he just misses tackles. (It noticeable tonight, but in the past, it's happened.) Ed Reed isn't like that. He is ALWAYS in the right spot where he needs to be, and he may be the single hardest hitter in the NFL. He can deck guys twice his size, and stay upright to talk about it. He is even more of a playmaker than Bob Sanders, even. He is one of the best pass-pickers in the game, and can force fumbles with the best of him. Offenses have to gameplan around Ed Reed, but they haven't really caught on to Sanders, yet.

Which Bob Sanders? Only the first 2 are better than a healthy Bob Sanders. The Defense is different with him and a Super Bowl 41 ring proves it.

Good for you in noticing how the Colts notorious defense turned itself around from laughingstock to champions after Bob Sanders came back at the end of the regular season. Everyone will be on the Manning band wagon, but Bob Sanders was the defensive sparkplug, more than Freeney or June.
