I have already found a number of sites giving me the ranges of salaries - from as low as $75,000 to start to as high as $400,000 for top ranking veterans. I understand how elite of a position it is, and am trying to settle an argument. I would love if someone could tell me as close to current as possible figure for the average salary of Major League Baseball umpires. Thanks.

I think average is around 150,000 per year, if they work every game. Bonuses for playoffs and stuff like that.

its a union job, try finding the umpires union on the net
