Well, you actually did do treatment in the form of salt. Salt, oftentimes, is all that is needed. Now, having said that, ich does have 4 cycles and the reason you don't see it is because it could now be in its "tomont" cycle, which is where it lies on the substrate for a period of 3-28 days during its reproductive cycle. So, you do need to keep an eye out for it for the next month because it will be sometime after 3-28 days that you could see it reappear again. It is only during the tomont cycle that the ich can be killed, so now is the time to continue to use the salt to disrupt its cycle and kill the ich. This is if you leave the fish in the tank. You can choose to take the fish out and if you take the fish out, the ich will die on its own without a host. But, you probably ought to continue treating the fish with salt anyway just to be sure it's good and healthy. So, either way, continue the salt and the ich will die. Good job!

Yes as the ich can still be effecting the gills, and not be visible to the eye. Also new fish can get the ich even if the betta has developed a resistance to it. The other option is to remove the betta and treat for a week. In theory all the ich in the main tank will dying in 4-5 days without a host.

Take out your carbon and use a product called quick treatment, keep on with practise heavily then ensure you do a collection of 25% water alterations even as therapy is carried out. there is yet in a unique way that is safer and could be extra valuable. First improve the temp to eighty 3 (upload further airstones if accessible) then use a million teaspoon of non iodized salt in retaining with gallon interior the morning then repeat interior the afternoon. Then repeat an similar ingredient the subsequent day. go away them like that for 2 weeks then change the water without salt. in case you pick to make a water change interior of both weeks ensure you take advantage of water w 4 teaspoons of salt in retaining with gallon. Ick has a existence cycle what you probably did develop into kill off mature microbes and then the little ones got here out. The fish broking service did not quarintine lengthy adequate or in any respect. chilly water can each and every from time to time convey forth ick. decrease the temp even as carried out salting. Treat the water with salt and raise the heat a bit. Ick goes through life cycles and at one point drops off the fish into the water. If its still living in the tank it will be back.

If the ick symptom dissappear, you don't really need to treat it anymore. The possiblilty is that the salt did the work for you or your fish immunity system has improve and the parasite couldn't infect it anymore.

Anyway, just a word of warning. Salt might cause problem for a planted tank.

Ick is still in the water. I would change tanks. Get it a new one.
Treat the other one as is, sans the fish in that particular tank.
Then after a week transfer him back in if thats your wish.
