Lovecraft often wrote his stories as a narrator telling you why he is in the spot he is in and often in the first person. In "Call of Cthulhu", if I recall, Lovecraft's narrator is describing what he learns of a cult of a sleeping god from outer space when he resumed the studies of a relative into the matter. I read this story several times and some things that stand out are the narrator being visited by an aristocratic artist with strange visions, which ties into the whole dream worlds of gods that is a theme in other Lovecraft writings, a police officer who made a raid on a ritual to Cthulhu that involved some very disturbing acts of human sacrifice and a sailor who survived a supposed awakening of Cthulhu when he and his crewmates land on a strange island and poke their noses into a huge set of doors. I don't want to reveal too much, for other folks might want to read it...

I love HP Lovecraft. He was so freakin weird for that time period!
Call of Cthulu is about the rise of the sea monsters. You can read a more indept version though from wikipedia. Its basically a story in three parts.

I'm sorry to tell you this, but there are no translations for Lovecraft's books. My advice is that you learn to use a dictionary, and expand your sadly small vocabulary,or stick to "See Spot run" books.
