I think the dems will be a good counter-wieght to the presedent. Before the dems had the congress the far right conservatives got everything they wanted without a opposite opinion. Its good to have differences of opinions because then they will, hopefully, find a middle ground that will make both sides happy a little bit. And making United states united and get rid of this huge right wing and left wing sway. And maybe even let the REASONABLE people in the middle get what makes them happy.
