As a Carolina fan. The QB position is shaky but Rex is not the answer for our problems.

gm1957,

Not inslut you but its painfully obvious that you haven't followed the Bears at all this season. Rex has had more than just 1 bad game, more like 10 bad games. As injuries took its toll on the team, his mistakes became amplified.

In short he will be in a back up role to Griese at least for the 1st half of next season then return as the starter.

First let me say I am a huge Colts fan and I hate everything about Chicago - but the guys was the leader of the team that went to the Super Bowl!
Sure, he made some turd decisions, yes he lost the ball twice threw two interceptions and overall had a terrible game - but to judge this guy based on this one game is stupid.
But, my thought is while his OB ratings over 100 were the same or better than Manning I just think this guy needs some more time to develop.
Would I stick with the guy - no! Will the Bears - I believe they will which in case they need to be ready to roll with the ups and downs of some bad decisons - which is the same thing the Colts suffered through with Manning in his first few years.
Don't get me wrong Grossman will never be a Manning - but I do believe if given some time, a better line to protect him he could be a decent enough QB that the Bears can make a return to the big game.

It is undoubtebly obvious now that the Bears can't win the superbowl with Rex under center.

The problem is they are going to have a late 1st round pick, and probably won't be able to get a new QB in the draft. Rex will either get another chance next season, or expect the Bears to chase a big name in the free agency or via trade.

No, I don't think so. He's still a young QB, and he needs some more time to develope. He did take them to the Big Game. He just folded under the pressure. He'll have another great season next year.
