he is probably Australias best one day player and very important to the team with his abillity to win a game off his own bat plus great in the field and a handy bowler.

No doubt, it will certainly make Aussies task very difficult. However, it widely opens the world cup and many team stands good chance to win it. The teams are RSA, India and Sri Lanka.
Andrew's ouster definitely will rock Aussies team balance. If one can get Ponting early in his innings, Aussies will find it difficult. Remember Symonds innings aga pak last world cup, where he bailed Aussies out of trouble by blasting pakis. Who can do that?

While the absence of Andrew Symonds will be a great loss to Australia in the World Cup, since Australia have good bench strength, they can overcome his absence

He is not out yet, but unlikely to play, even though he will be listed in the world cup squad. He will be sorely missed, but Australia are still a strong team without him.

Definitely he is a match winner.He is a strong man I think he will recover before world cup.But still Aussies have match winners like Hussey,Ponting,Hayden,Gilchrist,shane Watson is now fit he can bowl and bat as well so Aussies will not be in trouble bcoz of his injury I suppose...

he might affect the chances because of his ability to hit the stumps for run-outs and tonking spin bowlers out of the ground, but if the australian selectors bring in another all-rounder to sub for him the might have the chances back in favour of Australia

Yes it will effect the team negatively..but ofcourse Australian performance is not dependant on one player only !...
but i would miss him , i like his batting !
