I am looking for people who have experienced this problem. Not advertisers. Thank you.

Yes, I have been threatened several times with lawsuits. They cite slander, defamation and libel (even though they do not seem to understand what these things are). They act as bullies towards people stating their opinions in blogs. They do not respect freedom of speech.

It is the way they go about trying to bring in business that people find alarming, not necessarily the service itself. If they would clean up their business practices, people would not have such a problem with them. Instead of launching a web P.R. campaign to bully people, why don't they just review their business practices and act more like proper businesses? If they are not a scam, this should not be so difficult to do.

You should note all the new passwords above responding but not actually answering this question. Can these people prove they are not paid representatives from Metropolitan Registries?

No, I am a happy member of Metropolitan Who's Who. I cannot imagine that they would do any harm unless justified. This company has helped me time and time again with new leads and new business relations. I can only assume Metropolitan Who's Who is protecting the 75,000 members that rely on them for their fine reputation. Maybe you should look at the good things they are doing for small companies. I think if you were to call or e-mail Metropolitan you would see what terrific people are behind the company.

If you are looking for people who have experienced this problem, you have asked the question in the wrong way. The way the question reads everyone has the right to answer, and just because the answer you are looking for is not the answers you are getting does not mean the answers are bad answers. I actually used Metro Whos Who to find a cosmetic dentist in my area, and I was happy with the results. Good luck.

Absolutely not, I've established multiple quality business contacts by using the registry. I would definitely suggest that anyone, in any type of business use this registry to enhance their contacts.
