It is no longer an "American custom" to eat at McDonald's. They are all over the world, and in many places people frequent them. Just because you don't do one thing that many people in the US do doesn't make you anti-American. Are you anti-American if you don't shop at Wal-Mart? Or if you don't like apple pie? Of course not. Conversely, you can do all of the above and be anti-American.

Well, some things just seem American. McDonalds' is one of them. My mom always kidded that if you don't like McDonald's, you're un-American.

I mean, what childhood is complete without the occasional Happy Meal? I loved them. In college, McD's is comfort food--greasy and cheap. lol

I love McDonalds...

You can eat any where you want. The good thing about America is that it has every kind of restaurant and food that you could possibly want. McDonald's is everywhere in the world, and I don't consider it one of America's best restaurants lol.

No. Why would it be American to eat at MickeyD's? I thought apple pie was American.

Only reason to eat at McD is when you're in a rush, and you need to eat. Otherwise, there are better options out there.

In fact, eating there is un-American. They are still selling french fries instead of freedom fries. Boycott McDonald's!

PS This is a joke. I love the French.
