I don't know, I kinda think the style she's chosen suits her voice well. While I'd like to hear what she can do with other types of music, I can't say I think she's wasting her voice. Also, while I'm not always in the mood for it, I wouldn't call it boring. Tranquilizing, yes -- almost hypnotic, at times -- but not boring.

To be honest, I don't consider myself a jazz fan, so I guess she's doing something unique and interesting to make me buy all three of the albums I know of -- and like them.

And yes, her voice is beautiful isn't it? (So is she.)

Norah Jones sounds lovely singing any song, it's not a waste to sing good quality music, and I bet she doesnt think what she sings as a WASTE of time. Get over it.

That's the style she sings. If you don't like it, don't listen to it. It's what she likes to sing, and she has enough fans that like those "boring jazz song" that she can continue.

Learn how to spell and grow some "taist" in music.

You're not really listening. You hear what kind of song it is and you file it in your brain in the "Don' like that" folder.

Just listen.
