Our entertainment business caters to wide spectrum of the public.since most of the movie goers are uneducated and illiterate, one has to find grass-root methods to attract the mass.As you know, about 80% of indias population is below poverty line.so one has to include violence, fight scenes with a scope for vulgarity in order to cater to the needs of these people who form a major chunk of the movie going mass.

Movies are the mirror of Society. Movie makers like to make their movies on what happens in Society only. You can see Violence and Intimacy are the topic of the day, these days, read any newspaper, see anywhere you will find these two things at its best.

I wish I knew. It's sure not what the families want...look how movies like "Babe" and "Toy Story" rake in the millions with -no- sex or violence. I think that Hollywood people are mostly too doped up and out of touch with reality.

well, the problem isn't necessarily the movies...its the people who PAY to see them...if the people didn't want sex and violence the movies wouldnt be profitable and wouldn't get made
