He was a great man. He is my idol! He did many great things in his lifetime. He created the first theme park ever - Disneyland. And he's done so many different things. Think of the expansion of the Walt Disney Company. Is there anything they don't produce? I mean, there's theme parks, resorts, stores, clothing lines, toys, movies, music, EVERYTHING. Walt Disney was also responsible for creating the first multi-plane camera for his animations. He even won an Academy Award for his animation "Flowers and Trees," too.
Walt Disney IS a hero.

A hero is a person that we look up to. A person who has shown great love to you, or to the world, has acceptable character, faith, and shares the other pillars of character in such a way that people respond. In Mr. Disney's case, this is a man who founded and established an entity that the whold world is aware of, has witnessed and who loves. He is easily the animation and entertainment emperor and has established an entity which still bears his name. He began as a cartoonist in the 1920s, creating Mickey Mouse and eventually moving from short films into much-acclaimed animated features like Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937) and Bambi (1942). Later Disney expanded into live-action features like Treasure Island (1951) and then into television -- the family-friendly variety program The Wonderful World of Disney was a prime-time staple from 1954-83. During Disney's life his studios won 48 Academy Awards. In 1955 Disney opened a theme park, Disneyland, in Anaheim, California; it was an immediate hit and became the public flagship of the Disney empire. Other Disney theme parks have since opened in Florida, Tokyo, France and Hong Kong. The Disney empire also grew to include Disney Radio and TV's The Disney Channel. He also holds the record for career Academy Award nominations, with 64... WHen he died, he was cremated and buried at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, California... Michael Eisner was hired in 1984 to run the Disney empire and is often credited with the company's resurgence; Eisner stepped down from the job in 2005... Characters animated by Disney include Winnie the Pooh, Ariel the mermaid, Pinocchio the wooden boy, and Princess Jasmine. Yes, I could consider this man a hero - every child in the world knows his name.....

becasue Disney is the best company ever. Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs was like, the first full length animated feature ever, and it was his idea, so without him, animated movies may never have come along. Plus, Disney employs lots of people, even famous ones, so without his company, people like Rascal Flatts, Jesse McCartney, and Aly & AJ might not have record deals or whatever. (Yes, Lyric Street [Rascal Flatts] and Hollywood Records [Jesse McCartney, Aly & AJ] are Disney owned)
