I am reading an interesting article on manipulation and control and am wondering if a person who tries to manipulate you consistently asks questions that make you feel uncomfortable answering is a form of control.

Example. A mother that needs to feel close to her adult child uses manipulation and asks alot of personal questions and questions on how she 'feels' about things. When this child doesn't answer or lies.. the mother is hurt and upset.
